Our Story

After two daughters, and many proms, founder and chair Rene Kane  found her daughter's expensive prom dresses of no use- until someone in her area was seeking out a prom dress for their daughter via Facebook. At that moment,  Rene realized that she wasn't the only mother with a closet of prom dresses, and no use for them.

Thus, Project Prom  was created. The out-pouring of support over the years and the many dresses donated were able to successfully send thousands of girls in the Atlantic County area off to prom in gorgeous, gently-used prom dresses-- FREE OF CHARGE!

As the years pass, the event expands and new young ladies attend in hopes of finding the perfect dress to wear at this year's prom.
